Tomas weakens into tropical depression

MANILA—State weather bureau PAGASA said late Monday night that tropical storm Tomas has weakened into tropical depression. In its 11 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Tomas is expected to weaken further into a low-pressure area (LPA) within 12 to 24 hours.
