A man was fatally shot in the chest Monday evening (Oct. 17) in the 2400 block of Dreux Avenue, New Orleans police said. The man, 36, was taken by EMS to a hospital, where he died, police said. At about 8:30 p.m., an ambulance drove away from the scene.
