WWE Smackdown Live to Feature New Format for TV
WWE Smackdown Live will start using picture-in-picture for commercial breaks to keep viewers engaged to the show. Fans will be able to see more Smackdown action while commercials are airing. This was used a few times in 2016 following the draft. According to Broadcasting and Cable, implementing picture-in-picture commercial breaks increased the viewer retention to 13% and the overall rating by 2%.
