Despite announcing on Raw last week that he would be competing in the Greatest Royal Rumble match, Sami Zayn did not appear in the bout, but his partner Kevin Owens did compete as scheduled.
According to PWInsider.com, Zayn is of Syrian descent, and both Syria and Saudi Arabia have had long standing problems, making it likely Zayn was unable to travel to the country due to conflicts between the countries.
