WWE issued the following statement on WWE.com, confirming the release of Cody Rhodes: WWE has come to terms on the release of Cody Rhodes as of today, May 22, 2016. WWE wishes Rhodes the best in all his future endeavors.Cody Rhodes announced yesterday on his Twitter account that he requested his release, and said today he hopes to explain everything soon. Cody was with WWE since 2006.
