2009 Randy Orton seems to have achieved cult status.
The Viper had one of the best runs of his WWE career in 2009. It all started with a punt kick to Vince McMahon on an episode of RAW in January 2009. The assault kicked off what is now considered the pinnacle of Randy Orton-Triple H feud. Orton won the 2009 Royal Rumble but fell short of defeating his former mentor for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXV. Fans (including this writer) absolutely hated the
