Reason WWE Chose a Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules PPV

Fans have been wondering why WWE decided to book a steel cage match at the Extreme Rules PPV with the Hardys and Sheamus/Cesaro. It’s believed that WWE officials felt with WrestleMania and NXT Takeover: Chicago both featuring a ladder match, and there’s the Money in the Bank ladder match taking place next month, that it would be too soon to air yet another ladder match on TV.
