Original ECW Booker Larry Winters Passes Away

Larry Winters, who was a regular in Philadelphia’s Tri-State Wrestling Alliance and Tod Gordon’s ECW, passed away yesterday. The cause of death has not been confirmed but the latest word is that he had a heart attack. Winters made his professional debut in 1982 and was a regular for the TWA, also working in smaller TV roles for the AWA, WWC and Jim Crockett Promotions. He became the first booker for Gordon’s ECW in 1992 and trained the likes of Don E. Allen, Glen Osbourne and The Sandman.
