Rotherham appoint Alex Bruce as boss

Rotherham United have appointed Alex Bruce as their new head coach on a two-year deal.The 41-year-old left his job as assistant manager at Salford City earlier this month.He had a brief spell as manager of Macclesfield in 2023-24, but this will be his first managerial position in full-time football.Bruce, the son of former Birmingham City, Hull City and Newcastle United boss Steve, takes over a club that has suffered relegation from the Championship to League Two in the past three seasons.The Mi
