Peterborough sign Walsall defender Weir until 2029

Peterborough United have signed defender Evan Weir following his release from Walsall.The Irish full-back, 24, joined the Saddlers in January 2024 from League of Ireland side Drogheda.Weir made 56 appearances for Walsall and scored four times but was not offered a new deal at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium for next season.He will complete his move on 1 July on a contract that runs until the summer of 2029, with an option for an additional 12 months."Evan is a really positive player, he can fend
