Karim Benzema: Real Madrid signs forward until 2021

Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Karim Benzema is now signed with Real Madrid until June 30, 2021. Real Madrid announced the contract extension on Wednesday. Benzema will speak to the media at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Santiago Bernabéu. The 29-year-old has 181 goals in 371 games since joining Real Madrid in 2009. Real Madrid also signed manager Zinedine Zidane to a new contract. A source told AS that Benzema will make about $8.9 million annually and the deal has a release clause of more than $1.1 billion.
