Wild winds slam northern Utah, knocking over trees and forcing school closures

Hurricane-force winds wreaked havoc Monday as trees fell, schools closed, and more than 58,000 Utahns lost power.Gusts reaching at least 97 mph were recorded at stations around northern Utah, with the worst winds concentrated north of Salt Lake County, the National Weather Service reported.
