Utah women's soccer opens with win over Utah State

The Utah women’s soccer team scored twice in the first two minutes of the game and went on to beat Utah State 2-0 on Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.Natalie Vukics and Tatum Thornton scored the goals for the Utes (1-0), who enter the season ranked No. 18 in the country. Janie Kearl and Natalee Wells had the assists on the two goals.Carly Nelson picked up her first shutout of the season, making two saves. Sarah Cobb had a career-high six saves for Utah State (0-1).
