Utah Royals take Tziarra King with first pick in the NWSL Draft

Utah Royals FC used its first-round pick in Thursday’s NWSL Draft to select Tziarra King out of North Carolina State eighth overall. She played four years for the Pack and was named to the Top 100 players by TopDrawerSoccer in 2019.King started all 88 games in which she appeared during her college career. She scored 48 goals and added 19 assists in more than 7,200 minutes.King was listed as a midfielder with NC State, but has experience playing multiple positions. She said during the NWSL
