Utah liquor stores will be open Friday, closed on July 4

Independence Day falls on a Saturday this week, and that means Friday is the official day off for most workers.State offices, banks and other businesses will be closed July 3 — but Utah’s state-run liquor stores will remain open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., officials with the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced Tuesday.The outlets will be closed, however, Saturday for the July 4 holiday.Later in the month, for Pioneer Day, liquor stores will be closed on Friday, July 2
