Sen. Mitt Romney’s proposal for cash payments to Americans gains support

Mitt Romney’s proposal to offer immediate payments to all adult Americans to help those affected by the coronavirus outbreak and struggling economy is gathering support with similar ideas now being pushed by a group of Senate Democrats and an endorsement of the concept by Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.Romney, R-Utah, had said Monday that a one-time check to American adults would help ease the impact they’re facing because of the virus, though such a plan had
