Saysha Bennett: Utah should make it illegal to use hand-held cellphones while driving

Earlier this year, Utah state Rep. Carol Moss presented House Bill 13 to the House Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee. Although those in opposition to the bill believed it was unnecessary or impractical, support for the bill still shows that passing it would be a worthwhile service to residents of Utah.The bill would have prohibited hand-held cellphone use while driving and allows for hands-free functions and functions that require a single tap or swipe.
