Plane crash causes power outages in West Jordan, injuries unknown

A plane in West Jordan that crashed Thursday afternoon left hundreds of people without power.The single-engine plane had taken off from South Valley Regional Airport and crashed just south of the airport, near 8600 South and 4000 West, according to airport spokeswoman Nancy Volmer.According to Tiffany Erickson, a spokeswoman for Rocky Mountain Power, more than 400 customers were without power at about 2:30 p.m. because the plane ”tore some lines down.”The outages occurred in Wes
