Payson man turns himself in after hit-and-run injures 9-year-old

Police in Payson said Thursday that a man turned himself in amid reports that authorities were searching for a driver who fled after hitting a 9-year-old boy on a sidewalk in Payson.The boy was taken to a hospital Wednesday afternoon in serious condition. His mother posted on Facebook Thursday that he is OK, but is in pain and has facial swelling.
