Man charged after unprovoked stabbing on TRAX platform

A South Salt Lake man has been charged with attempted murder after what police believe was an unprovoked stabbing of a stranger on a TRAX platform.Michael Nimmo, 50, was charged in 3rd District Court with attempted aggravated murder, possession and use of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and two counts of assault by a prisoner — all first degree felonies.According to charging documents, a woman was on the TRAX platform at 900 South about 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 when she was attacked
