Look Ahead: Local events and things to do this week, June 4-10

June 4The Cure at The VivIt’s hard to believe that The Cure — the English rock band that pretty much invented the mopey Goth look and sound — has been around more than 40 years. The band, led as always by Robert Smith, is performing Sunday at Vivint Arena (changing to the Delta Center in July, though some of the signs are up already), at 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Scottish indie-rock band The Twilight Sad (which sounds like the name of a Cure song) is the opening act.
