Letter: Why aren't they citizens already?

My heart goes out to all illegal immigrants affected by DACA. I only question why, as brought to the U.S. illegally as children, the Dreamers, some now middle-aged, never attempted to become U.S. citizens?Marilyn L. HuberSandy
