Our Legislature has passed legislation — HB220 — that would allow Class B and Class C nuclear wastes (including depleted uranium) to be stored at the EnergySolutions repository, with approval from the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control.These long-lived wastes increase in toxicity over hundreds of thousands of years.
