Letter: Use the freedom my father died for
Every day I look at a framed picture of my father (who I never really knew) in his Marine uniform, along with the following letter:“In grateful memory of James Lawrence Jensen — United States Marine Corps — Who Died In The Service Of His Country At — Peleliu Island, Palau Islands, 27 September 1944 — He stands in the unbroken line of patriots who have dared to die that freedom might live, and grow, and increase its blessings.
