Letter: Tax breaks make no sense

A groundbreaking was held last week for a new meat packing plant in Utah county. Will this, and other new businesses, Facebook, an inland port, etc., pay wages high enough for their employees to afford a $1,000 a month small apartment?Enticing low-paying industry to our state guts our taxes by giving such companies huge tax breaks, and ultimately adds to the housing crunch and homelessness.
