Letter: Slow and steady wins the race

I don’t understand the push to have our upcoming election results by the end Election Day. The only reason that comes to mind is our insatiable (and unreasonable) desire for immediate gratification.Isn’t it more important to get the election results correct than sooner?Why the rush?
