Letter: Scouting is so last century

When I was a Boy Scout, I learned that a Scout is “trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.” And a Scout leader would sometimes effuse, “Why, if you live up to all that, who knows, maybe, just maybe someday you could become president of the United States!”Now I see that the current occupant of the White House has few, if any, of these qualities.Perhaps those contemplating a replacement program for the
