Letter: Political opinion vs constitutionally protected right

Regarding the letter to The Public Forum, “License plates deserve First Amendment protection,” from Thomas D. Dial: I can’t help but wonder if Mr. Dial would be equally protective of freedom of speech had the offending license plate read “ABORTM” instead of “DEPORTM.” The latter is a political opinion.
