Letter: Personal freedom does not include hazardous driving

Rep. Carol Spackman-Moss: Thank you for your persistence in sponsoring a bill to ban cellphone use while driving. I can’t wrap my head around Utah’s Legislature not seeing the value of Spackman-Moss’ bill. The notion that such a bill interferes with personal freedom is ludicrous.Laws are a balance of individual liberty and public safety and order. It is disturbing when individuals believe that their personal freedom includes driving distracted, resulting in injury or death of i
