Letter: Penalized for fighting climate change

I am a senior citizen driving a Nissan Leaf all-electric auto. My driving habits involve very little travel, approximately 10 miles weekly.It seems I am being punished by our "worthies" setting policy for helping with our global warming problems. They saw fit, with all their wisdom, to raise my car registration fee $50.What a country, no?I suppose those of us with electric cars are doing untold damage to their already miserable roads.Richard W.
