Robert Gehrke’s otherwise excellent article from Oct. 28, “Even impeachment might not stop Trump from winning reelection,” exhibits a pervasive media tendency: It draws inferences about voters from the Electoral College.He states: "Al Gore and John Kerry and Hillary Clinton lost because they were standard-issue Democrats who failed to connect outside of the base or mobilize moderate, working-class voters."Actually, all three did at least two percentage points better with voters
