Letter: Gov. Herbert's Hanukkah op-ed reasserted American values

Winston Churchill famously said, “If Hitler invaded hell, I would make the devil at least a favorable reference in the House of Commons.” In like manner, I must applaud Gov. Gary Herbert for his op-ed concerning Hanukkah in the Tribune.Gov. Herbert has many shortcomings, but at least he had the courage to use the occasion of Hanukkah to speak out for inclusiveness, diversity, humanistic and spiritual values, and speak out against the wave of bigotry, exclusiveness and white supremacy
