Draper identifies Utah firefighter killed battling huge blaze in California

Draper officials have identified the firefighter killed Monday battling the Mendocino Complex Fire in California as Battalion Chief Matthew Burchett, 42.“The entire community of Draper is mourning his loss,” said Mayor Troy K. Walker, adding that Burchett left behind a wife and son.The details of what happened to the firefighter, who died in a hospital after being injured earlier in the day, have not been released.
