Construction worker crushed under equipment at Sandy work site

A man who had been working at a construction site in Sandy died on Friday afternoon. He had been working in a ditch at the site when a piece of equipment rolled into the hole and crushed him, according to Sandy police Sgt. Jason Nielsen. He was killed about 3 p.m. near 11450 South and 1000 East.The Salt Lake Tribune will update this story as more information becomes available.
