Astrid S. Tuminez to lead Utah Valley University

Utah Valley University on Friday evening named Astrid S. Tuminez as its first female president. Tuminez is currently Microsoft’s regional director for corporate, external and legal affairs in southeast Asia.She was chosen from four candidates to replace Matthew Holland as president of what is now Utah’s largest university.Holland, 50, announced in November that he would retire after nine years at UVU to serve as a president of an LDS Church mission.Tuminez will take start her new job
