Bett1 Open: Belinda Bencic sole survivor of upsets' galore in Berlin

It was a day of upsets at the Bett1 Open on Wednesday. The top three seeds crashed out of the event in their respective opening-round matches.Aryna Sabalenka, the top-seed, crashed out to Madison Keys. The American won 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 in an hour and 56 minutes to reach her first quarter-final in over a year (since reaching the final of the 2020 Brisbane International). Keys hit 31 winners and saved 10 of the 14 break points she faced to get past the fourth-ranked Belarusian.In the quarter-final, K
