US Forest Service Denies Midwest's Largest Ski Resort's Expansion Plan
On August 25th, the U.S. Forest Service denied Lutsen Mountains, Minnesota's request for expansion approval. The resort, arguably the largest in the Midwest, currently boasts 1,000 acres of terrain along the North Shore of Lake Superior.With the proposed expansion, it intended to increase its size by 495 acres while constructing seven new chairlifts alongside two new base areas.
