Tom Peiffer Reflects on His Unlucky Freeride World Tour Season

Whistler-based skier Tom Peiffer's spent his fair share of time on the Freeride World Tour (FWT). After qualifying for the FWT in 2018, Peiffer spent 2019, 2020, and 2021 traveling and competing.
In 2021, Tour organizers made format changes due to COVID and Peiffer ended up below the cutoff for the next season. Instead of trying to re-qualify, he took the next three seasons away from the FWT to focus on other aspects of skiing. His hiatus ended when he was invited back to Challengers last season
