Three Heli-Skiers Killed, Buried 40-100 Feet by Massive Avalanche
The Chugach National Forest Avalanche Center has confirmed that three heli-skiers were killed by a massive avalanche in the west fork of the Twentymile drainage outside of Girdwood, Alaska on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.According to the initial accident report, the three skiers were caught and buried by the avalanche around 3:30 p.m. Professional heli-ski guides from Chugach Powder Guides attempted to recover the victims, but were unsuccessful due to the size and depth of the avalanche debris.It
