Skier Makes the Case for Heading to Japan Instead of the Alps

Deciding on a ski vacation option if you live in the U.S. is challenging because there are too many fantastic choices. You head north to Canada and have Lake Louise, Fernie, and Whistler, to name only a few. East across the pond are the Alps, with killer resorts with French, German, Spanish, and Italian names that I probably can't spell, even with the wonders of modern writing technology.
