Multiple Skiers Killed in Avalanche

Five skiers were caught in an avalanche in Italy's Piedmont region on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Three of the skiers were fully buried and did not survive the slide.The avalanche occurred just after noon on an eastern ridge of Punta Valgrande, a peak on the border between Italy and Switzerland in the Lepontine Alps.
