The Argentière Cable Car at the Grands Montets Ski Area in Chamonix, France was built in 1963. It's a historical landmark that helped to shape the modern ski industry, but its time is coming to an end.A 2018 fire at the Lognan mid-station has kept the lift closed, and plans were made to replace the aging cable car with a new 3S gondola from Doppelmayr.
