In-Bounds Avalanche Buries Montana Skier

An in-bounds avalanche buried a skier at Bridger Bowl over the weekend. On December 15, 2024 at 12:09pm, a skier was caught in a slide and buried in open terrain below Bridger Gully, in the Papa Bear region of the ski area.Fortunately, once buried, the skier was able to punch a hole up through the debris pile and maintain an airway. The skier was not alone and their ski partner and bystanders were able to quickly extricate the skier from the rest of the debris pile. The skier was uninjured
