Colorado Skier Triggers Avalanche on Closed Trail

On December 28, 2024, a skier triggered an avalanche in a closed section of the resort at Steamboat. The slide occurred in Christmas Tree Bowl, one of Steamboat's expert terrain areas accessed by a short hike from Morningside lift.
