Colorado Skier Digs Himself out of Avalanche Debris

Colorado’s notoriously dangerous snowpack is already showing its teeth.
Early last week, a skier on Berthoud Pass triggered a large (D2) slab avalanche and was caught and partially buried in the slide. Despite dislocating his shoulder in the slide, the skier was able to dig himself out.
