Avalanche Death Confirmed In Utah, Third This Week

The Utah Avalanche Center (UAC) has confirmed that an avalanche fatality occurred yesterday, February 22, 2026, in the Snake Creek backcountry area near Midway, Utah.The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office conducted Search & Rescue operations on the morning of February 23rd following a report of an avalanche the previous afternoon.
