The Padres have been “actively discussing” left-handed reliever Wandy Peralta in trade talks recently, reports Jon Heyman of the New York Post. There’s no indication a deal is close at this time.
Peralta, who’ll turn 35 this weekend, is playing out the third season of a four-year, $16.5MM contract. He’s posted a 2.32 ERA in 50 1/3 innings of relief so far but has done so with less convincing rate stats.
