Zack Wheeler upset after early pull: ‘I feel like I’ve earned that’

PHILADELPHIA — An impressive Zack Wheeler streak came to an end on Wednesday night.
The Phillies right-hander did not complete five innings in a start for the first time since June 16, 2024. It was Father’s Day 2024, and Wheeler allowed four home runs against a pesky Baltimore Orioles lineup at Camden Yards. Then manager Rob Thomson was later ejected from the game.
