Rookie starter Andrew Painter had a nice bounce back start against the Red Sox, but the Phillies were unable to win another low-scoring game at Fenway Park. They dropped the second game of the series to Boston by a final score of 3-1. Across five innings, Painter allowed just one run on four hits, walking none and striking out four.
