Athletics To Select Joey Meneses’ Contract

The Athletics will be selecting the contract of first baseman/outfielder Joey Meneses from Triple-A Las Vegas, MLB.com’s Martin Gallegos reports.  Corresponding moves will need to be made to add Meneses to both the 26-man and 40-man rosters.
Meneses signed a minor league deal with the A’s back in November, and he has since played for Mexico at the World Baseball Classic and posted some big numbers against Triple-A pitching.  Meneses is hitting .348/.401/.543 with 11 homers
